What to Do During Common Dental Emergencies
Knocked-Out Permanent Tooth
Pick up tooth by the crown only. Do NOT scrub root. If possible, place back in socket or submerge in cold milk or saliva. Reach our clinic within 60 minutes.
Severe Throbbing Toothache
Rinse mouth with warm saline. Gently floss around tooth to remove lodged debris. Do NOT place aspirin directly against gum tissue. Take paracetamol and call our emergency line.
Broken / Chipped Porcelain or Tooth
Save any broken fragments. Rinse mouth gently. Apply cold compress on outer cheek to minimize swelling and report immediately for bonding or ceramic repair.
Dislodged Crown or Filling
Keep the crown safe. Do not use regular superglue. Contact our clinic immediately for temporary recementation or permanent bonding.
